The Overnightscape Underground - Lot 113: The Frank Nora Time Machine 44 transmissions [5601-5644] 52:44:55 onsug.com / TheOvernightscape.com
I call it "patching in" - transcending time and space to hang out with everyone from the future. I do it by recording my Internet radio show, The Overnightscape, in a way that is welcoming to future listeners, and making sure that all the episodes are always easily and freely available.
Here in February 2014, I've done around 2,000 episodes - including a few years where I changed the name and format of the show, before returning to the original. And next month will mark 11 years of The Overnightscape.
On the show, I talk about the things that excite me - pop culture, food, technology, the occult... philosophy, theme parks, conspiracy theories, toiletries... pinball, popcorn, tobacco, typefaces.... and just about everything in-between.
All the episodes are available in The Overnightscape Underground collection on Archive.org - which includes my shows and also shows by others hosts. Right now there are 5,600 tracks, totaling 7 solid months of audio. It's already a lifetime of listening pleasure for anyone - but it can be a little overwhelming.
That's why I decided to put together The Frank Nora Time Machine. It's a compact, portable collection of 44 episodes covering the entire history of the show. I chose four shows from each year - using true random numbers from random.org.
So jump right in and visit me at these various times and places... and once you're done, there are thousands more episodes to patch into. Enjoy!
